The Saint Ignatius varsity volleyball team has kept a hot streak going through the race to defend the OHSBVA State Title.

Reeling off 11 of their first 12 contests, the Cats beat familiar foe Archbishop Hoban 3-0, on Thursday night on the road.

"We really came together as a team and we served consistently and didn't shoot ourselves in the feet at all, and it resulted in a nice team win," said sophomore stud Quinn Flanagan.

Flanagan helped lead the Wildcats along with Phillip Catanzaro, who was responsible for 15 kills.

The Wildcats finished the first set with a 25-16 victory, before winning two conescutive sets 25-20.

"We were consistent the whole way through and finished when we were called upon to and didn't let Hoban back in the game," Vince Holzheimer, the sophomore libero, said when asked of the victory.

The Wildcats look to keep the good times rolling this Saturday as they face off in the Centerville Elite 8.
