The Ice Cats did well in the tournament last year.

Not too often do you receive the chance to represent your country in an athletic event. The Ice Cats will have an opportunity to do so next season.

The Saint Ignatius hockey team has been invited back to the Barrow Tournament, hosted by Upper Canada College. The Wildcats will be the lone team from the United States to play in the 8-team invitational.

The Ice Cats, coming off another OHSAA Division I State Championship, will make the trip north to Toronto in mid-February. The 14th edition of the tournament is set for February 9-11, 2018. Upper Canada College's William Wilder '40 Arena will serve as the venue. UCC's facility features two rinks, with Olympic and NHL sized rinks.

Last season, the Wildcats won twice and lost twice at the tournament. The Ice Cats fell to Le Sommet Prep (ONT), 3-0; defeated Ulysee Prep (QUE), 4-3 in overtime; dropped an overtime contest to UCC, 3-2; and beat Everest Academy (ONT), 4-2.

The 2018 edition will feature some of the top teams from Toronto and Quebec, serving as a great prep for the 2018 OHSAA Tournament.

The full list of teams for 2018 is as follows:

Upper Canada College (ONT)
Blyth Academy (ONT)
Appleby (ONT)
St. Michaels College (ONT)
