The Tennis Cats just keep rolling.

The tennis team defeated St. Edward on Monday afternoon at Magnificat, capturing a 5-0 home victory over the Eagles.

The 6-1 Wildcats will look to keep the 4-match winning streak alive on Wednesday, as the Tennis Cats will play at Westlake after the Demons postponed the match from today.

While rain lingers in the forecast today, yesterday brought sun and pleasant weather for the Tennis Cats. The weather translated to a perfect performance on the court for the Wildcats.

Austin Gelinas provided the highlight of the day for the Wildcats. The senior, called on as an emergency reserve, claimed his first victory in his Saint Ignatius tennis career. Gelinas stands at a perfect 1-0 as a Wildcat.

Arjun Brahmbhatt also enjoyed a great afternoon, winning the third singles match for the blue and gold. After the match, the freshman posed with his younger sister on a festive National Siblings Day.

As mentioned above, the varsity squad returns to the court on Wednesday against the Demons. The JV team will also play Westlake tomorrow at 4 p.m., though the Wildcats host the match at Magnificat High School.
