A wacky weather weekend awaits the Wildcats.

Snow and rain is in the forecast today and tomorrow before giving way to warmer temperatures on Friday and Saturday.

Whatever the weather, the Wildcats have a busy slate ahead.

Baseball

The team with the most packed schedule this weekend is the baseball squad.

The Varsity Baseball Cats have contests set for Friday at 5 p.m. against Twinsburg and Saturday versus Tallmadge at 2 p.m. Today's contest against Mayfield was postponed to Monday at Baldwin Wallace.

The baseball team stands at 2-2 after an 11-0 win over Cuyahoga Falls on Monday at Baldwin Wallace. Connor Adams tossed four innings of shutout baseball for the blue and gold.

The JV Cats will also be in action, playing at Twinsburg on Friday afternoon and at Tallmadge on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The freshman gold team will play a doubleheader at Boardman on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., while the freshman blue squad will battle Holy Name at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday at Bohlken Park.

Friday's varsity contest will be broadcast audio-only on the SIBN.

Lacrosse

After back-to-back wins this week over St. Edward and Western Reserve Academy, the Lax Cats will host Everest Academy from Ontario on Saturday.

The Wildcats have a 3-1 mark heading into the tough home matchup. Michael Boehm has excelled for the Wildcats, already netting 12 goals in just four games. Carter Blossey has also performed well in net, turning away seven WRA shots yesterday.

The JV Gold Cats will be on the road at Brother Rice on Saturday at noon, while JV Blue will host Rocky River's JV team at 5 p.m.

Saturday's varsity contest will be broadcast by the SIBN.

Volleyball

Several schools will converge on West 30th and Lorain for the Saint Ignatius Invitational on Saturday.

Hosted by the Volleyball Cats, the tournament will bring in some of the top talent in the Northeast Ohio area.

Guided by Casey Marcelo, the Wildcats have flown out to a 3-1 mark, including an impressive 3-0 sweep of Walsh Jesuit last weekend.

Rugby

Following an exciting trip to France, the Rugby Cats are back in action this weekend. The team will face the KC Jr. Blues on Friday at 7 p.m. and Gonzaga College High School on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Both contests will take place at Xavier University, where the A-side Wildcats will look to stay undefeated on the season.

The B-side Wildcats will also play the KC Jr. Blues and Gonzaga, at 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively, on Saturday in Cincinnati.

The JV and developmental squads will stay local, hosting Canton at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m. on Wasmer Field.

Track & Field

Weather-permitting, the Wildcats will host a track meet this afternoon on Wasmer Field. Stay tuned on Twitter for weather updates.

Regardless, the track and field team is set to participate in the Media Relays on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

The Wildcats notched a third place finish amongst some top competition at Hilliard Davidson's meet last weekend.

Crew

After battling illness on its annual South Carolina spring break training trip, the Crew Cats hope to return to action this weekend.

The crew team will participate in the CJRC Invitational on Saturday. The regatta will take place in Cincinnati at Lake Harsha.

The race will start off what promises to be an exciting year for the Crew Cats.

Tennis

The Tennis Cats have caught fire in the last week, winning three in a row over Saint John's Jesuit, North Canton Hoover, and Medina. The Wildcats will look to keep the good times rolling this weekend.

The tennis team will compete at the St. Edward Tournament on Saturday at 7:45 a.m. The tournament will take place at Paramount Westlake.

Entering the weekend, the Wildcats have a 5-1 overall mark on the season.

Good luck to all Wildcats teams in action this weekend.
