The Wildcats' Harriers finish seventh in the Division I Race at Saturday's 88th annual OHSAA Boys Cross Country State Championships on the National Trail Raceway Course in Hebron, Ohio.

Saint Ignatius' gifted senior C.J. Ambrosio finished fourth overall in 15:15.1, according to the OHSAA's final results, which is a new Saint Ignatius Cross Country Record!

Congrats to C.J., who also had a school-record performance in the spring in helping the Wildcats to the OHSAA Division I State Track and Field Championship.

Saint Ignatius senior Andrew Szendrey placed 37th in a time of 15:59.0.

The top individual on Saturday was Dustin Horter of Lakota East in 15:02.8.

Leading the way for the top seven teams were Ohio's No. 1-ranked Solon Comets with a score of 79, followed by Hudson 156, St. Xavier 163, Thomas Worthington 172, Louisville 181, Medina 183 and Saint Ignatius 204.

Under the direction of Head Coach Dr. Mike Gallagher '71, the Cross Country Cats closed out another strong season, especially when you consider the nucleus that graduated from their 2015 State Championship Team.

WE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO COACH GALLAGHER'S ANNUAL SUNDAY EVENING WRAPUP.
