Congratulations go out to Saint Ignatius' gifted senior quarterback Patrick Ryan on being selected as the Saint Ignatius Athlete of the Week.

In last weekend's impressive 38-7 victory over Archbishop Moeller at Otterbein University's Memorial Stadium, Patrick displayed exceptional athleticism and field generalship in helping the Wildcats improve to 7-1.

Patrick, who also excels in the classroom as a National Merit Scholar, passed for 130 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 58 yards and three touchdowns. Patrick's 10-yard touchdown run, which came off an exceptional read, highlighted a 12-play, 93-yard drive and set the tempo for a great offensive night from the Wildcats.

With just over a minute remaining in the third quarter, Patrick put the game away with a 42-yard, in-stride touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Connor Kennedy, an effort that Saint Ignatius' Hall of Fame Head Coach Chuck Kyle '69 described as a "beautiful throw."

On the season, Patrick has completed 69 of 111 passes for 903 yards and six touchdowns, and has rushed for 252 yards and six TDs.

Saint Ignatius' veteran Offensive Coordinator Mr. Nick Restifo, a man who has developed the skills of 16 All-Ohio quarterbacks, said he is very impressed with the way Patrick has matured into the position, especially in terms of the reads and quick reactions.

Nick is also quite pleased with Patrick's running ability and how it has become a major factor in the Wildcats' offensive schemes.
Again, congratulations from this corner to Patrick, his family, Coach Kyle, Coach Restifo, Saint Ignatius Quarterbacks Coach Jim Cahill '89 and the entire Wildcats Football Program.
