Varsity Soccer Up to No. 1 Ranking in Top Drawer Soccer and USA TODAY Polls

Wildcats Socccer takes over the No. 1 ranking in both the Top Drawer Soccer SIMA Fab 50 and USA Today national polls

The Soccer Cats jump from 3rd place to first in the Top Drawer Soccer SIMA Fab 50 and move from No. 2 to No.1 in USA Today's Super 25.

Here are the top 10 teams in this week's Top Drawer Soccer SIMA Fab 50, followed by USA Today 's top five programs.

St. Ignatius Cleveland, OH 8-0-1
Xavier commit Stephen Milhoan scored twice in the team's 3-0 victory over Olentangy Liberty. The Wildcats have wins over three teams that have been ranked in the Ohio state Top 10, and now the powerhouse starts its out-of-state run. This week, St. Ignatius takes on SLUH (Mo.), which is coming off a CYC Tournament title, and next week the Wildcats travel to Colorado to take on undefeated and SIMA FAB 50-ranked Cherry Creek and one-loss Regis Jesuit, which was handed a 2-1 setback by Milwaukee Marquette (Wis.) last week.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scotch Plains, NJ 8-0-0
As expected, John Murphy has been clutch for Scotch Plains. Last week the junior scored twice against Johnson in a lopsided result and netted both goals in a the team's 2-1 victory over Bridgewater-Raritan.

St. Benedict's Prep Newark, NJ 6-1-0
Felipe Lucas, Luam Lamas and Louis Silva scored the goals as St. Benedict's defeated Blair Academy 3-0 last week in the team's only outing. The Gray Bees have a midweek clash with undefeated Pennington School this week.

Milwaukee Marquette Milwaukee, WI 9-0-1
Marquette traveled to Colorado over the weekend and came away with a pair of 2-1 victories to jump up into the SIMA FAB 50 national title chase. The Hilltoppers handed former SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 Rockhurst (Mo.) its first defeat, then edged undefeated Regis Jesuit (Colo.) to sweep its matches at the Jesuit Classic, hosted this year by Regis Jesuit. This week, Marquette competes in the Gateway City Soccer Classic, where it will face Prep Top 10 No. 1 South Kent School (Conn.).

Conestoga Berwyn, PA 9-0-0
Mike McCarthy scored the game winner as Conestoga edged Haverford School 1-0 in overtime last week, capping a three-win week.

Morton Cicero, IL 12-0-1
Junior standout Baltazar Duran scored in the 77th minute to lead Morton to a 2-1 come-from-behind win over St. Charles North in the top flight of the Pepsi Showdown.

Rockhurst Jesuit Kansas City, MO 12-1-0
Rockhurst lost to Milwaukee Marquette (Wis.) 2-1 before defeating Gonzaga (D.C.) at the Jesuit Classic in Colorado. The Hawklets travel to St. Louis this week to take part in the 62-team Gateway City Soccer Classic.

Olathe East Olathe, KS 8-0-0
After celebrating coach Terry Hair's 25th year at the helm, Olathe East then handed Shawnee Mission West a 3-1 defeat last week.

Boulder Boulder, CO 8-0-0
Blaise Werner scored seven goals and had one assist last week as Boulder posted three victories. The Panthers face former SIMA FAB 50-ranked Fairview this week.

Christian Brothers Academy Lincroft, NJ 8-0-0

Bucknell commit Matthew Thorsheim had a goal and three assists as CBA swept its matches at the Delbarton Invitational with three-goal wins over DeMatha (Md.) and SIMA FAB 50-ranked Chaminade (N.Y.).
