Freshman Football Cats Secure 28-6 Win over DCC

 From Wasmer Field in Cleveland's Ohio City

Tough as nails tailback/linebacker Jack Welcsh set the tempo with a 55-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.

The Freshmen 'Cats struck again in the second quarter on a 25-yard TD pass from quarterback Nick Fletcher to multi-skilled wide receiver/defensive back Connor Cmiel.

Leading 14-0 at halftime, Saint Ignatius turned to Welcsh again in the third quarter and Jack made his presence felt one more time with a 9-yard touchdown run.

Coach Gallaway's team then sealed the deal with a 10-yard scoring reception by 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end/defensive end Sam Daugstrup. 

The Freshmen 'Cats will take a 3-1 record into Thursday's 6 PM matchup with the Freshmen Warriors from Walsh Jesuit on Wasmer Field.
