'Cats Varsity A Golf Team places third at the Gilmour Academy Invitational

The Varsity B 'Cats take the 11th spot.

Sophomore Jake Moraca places among the top 10 with a round of  75, and senior Hunter Rinkus is right behind with a round of 76.

Coach Becker: The Varsity golf teams were back in tournament action this weekend at Fowler's Mill Golf Course to compete in the Gilmour Academy Reese Alexander Invitational.

The 'Cats faired well in the 21-team tournament with the Varsity "A" team capturing 3rd place and the Varsity "B" team finishing in 11th place. The 'Cats were led by sophomore Jake Moraca with a solid round of 75, which was good enough for a top-10 finish in the event.

Senior Hunter Rinkus also played very well carding an overall score of 76. Both teams will compete this Saturday at Lakewood Country Club in the St. Edward Invitational. Enclosed are the top 10 team scores and the individual Saint Ignatius players scores.
