On Wednesday night, the corner will preview Saturday's Varsity Football headliner between Coach Chuck Kyle's Saint Ignatius Wildcats and Coach Steve Trivisonno's Mentor Cardinals. The kickoff on Saturday is 7 PM from Byers Field in Parma's Robert M. Boulton Stadium.

Thursday night, the corner will be at Cleveland State University's Krenzler Field for the Junior Varsity and Varsity Soccer matchups with the Solon Comets. The JV match begins at 6 bells, followed by the Varsity side at 8 PM. Coach Jim Brennan's JV 'Cats (4-0) and Coach Mike McLaughlin's two-time defending and record seven-time State Champion Varsity 'Cats (3-0) are both coming off Championship performances at this past weekend's annual Ohio Jesuit Cup, which this year was played on the pitch at Walsh Jesuit High School.

There will be no admission charge for students attending Thursday night's soccer matches at Krenzler Field.

Friday evening, the corner will join Coach Paul Yappel's 1-0 Junior Varsity Football Wildcats as they travel to Mentor's Jerome T. Osborne Sr. Stadium for a 5 PM encounter with the Cardinals' Jayvees. The corner will also have a recap on Coach Rodney Gallaway's 1-0 Freshmen Football 'Cats, who take on Mentor's Freshmen at Wasmer Field Friday evening. The kickoff is 5 PM.

Saturday night there is only place to be for the Wildcats' faithful, and that is at Byers Field. The corner will see you there for the 20th meeting on the gridiron between the 'Cats and the Cardinals. The 'Cats, who lead the all-time series, 11-8, are looking to snap a three-game losing streak to Mentor.
