The 2011 Division I state champion Saint Ignatius Wildcats appear to have a game set with De La Salle Collegiate High School (Warren, Mich.) for Week 2 of the 2012 football season.

Wildcats Athletic Director Rory Fitzpatrick '88 said it has not been determined yet if the game will be played at home or on the road. The match up with the Pilots, as De La Salle is known, would give Saint Ignatius eight games (the amount you must have to compete in the OHSAA playoffs) and still leave the 'Cats in search of games for Weeks 4 and 7.

The Pilots, whose motto is "Builders of Boys, Makers of Men," finished 9-3 last season after losing, 6-0, to Cass Technical High School in a regional final.

De La Salle will be led in 2012 by 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback Shane Morris, who gave a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan in May 2011.

A 4-Star recruit as a pro-style quarterback, Morris has been ranked as high as 16th on Rivals.com's list of the 250 prospects for the Class of 2013. He passed for 1,684 yards and 19 touchdowns this past fall and had seven interceptions.

The Pilots were regional champions in 2006, '08 and '09, and advanced to the state finals in '06 and '08.
