George DiCamillo advances with a pin in the preliminary round of the 75th OHSAA State Wrestling Championships. Jim Ferritto and Tommy Zeigler lose prelim decisions, but bounce back in the consolations.

George, the top-ranked 120-pounder in the nation, pinned Mathias Zollinger of Wadsworth in 0.54 of Thursday night's Division I championship preliminaries at The Ohio State University. It was DiCamillo's 71st consecutive victory and his school-best 149th career win. George will take a 34-0 record into Friday's Division I championship quarterfinals, where he will face Kettering Fairmont's Josh Parrett (33-7).

The Wildcats' 106-pounder Jim Ferritto was decisioned by Taleb Rahmani of Marysville, 10-6, and Tommy Zeigler lost a major decision to Jacob Spearman of Lancaster, 9-0, at 113 pounds.

*Jim and Tommy bounce back in the Consolation Round I: Jim recovered nicely from his preliminary-round loss by defeating L.J. Bailey of St. Edward, 3-1TB, and Tommy did the same as he decisoned Greysun Barden of Fairfield, 4-2.

Saint Ignatius finished the first night of competition with six points.
