Just to update you, the Wildcats' 2012 Week 4 football game against Strong Vincent will be played in Erie, Pa., and as we reported on the corner last week and in previous weeks, the 'Cats' season opener against defending Division III state champion Youngstown Cardinal Mooney will be the second game in the annual Charity Game doubleheader at Browns Stadium. The kickoff will be 7 p.m. North Royalton and Brecksville-Broadview Heights will meet in the afternoon affair.

In another reminder, the Wildcats' 2-0 varsity lacrosse team travels to Westlake tonight for a matchup with the Demons at 7, the varsity baseball team is bound for Dublin Jerome High School on Saturday for a doubleheader against Jerome and Zanesville at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Coach Chuck Kyle's varsity track and field team travels to the Hilliard Davidson Wildcat Premier on Saturday, which gets underway at 9 a.m., and the varsity volleyball team will put its 2-0 record on the line against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Saturday night at 7 in Sullivan Gymnasium.

*Please ignore the tweet on the athletics page about there being a "short recap" on last night's baseball thriller against Amherst Steele. As always, yours truly was on hand for the game and wrote a complete story on it, which appears right below this post on the corner.
