Congrats to Coach Jon Barker '87 and the Wildcats' varsity tennis team for bouncing back from last week's loss to Copley by taking the sting out of Medina's Battling Bees, 4-1, on Tuesday afternoon in Medina. The 'Cats (2-1) will face Hawken School tomorrow (Wednesday) on the courts at Magnificat. Play begins at 4 p.m.

In its seven-county tennis outlook, The Plain Dealer listed Saint Ignatius as a team to watch and had Christian Zuber, Yaw Boakye, Chad Burton and Nathan Griffin among the seven-county players to watch.

For those of you who have inquired, Tuesday's junior varsity baseball game between Saint Ignatius and St. Edward, scheduled for Victory Park in North Ridgeville, was not played. For some reason, St. Edward was not on hand for the game.

We'll see you at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon tomorrow (Wednesday) for the Wildcats' varsity home opener against Boardman. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Boardman improved to 3-1 by defeating Uniontown Lake, 11-1, in league play on Tuesday evening. Senior pitcher Troy Parks (2-0) went the distance and the Spartans totaled 15 hits.

It will be a busy night on campus Wednesday, as the 3-0 varsity lacrosse team faces Massillon Jackson at 7 on Wasmer Field and the 4-0 varsity volleyball team matches skills with Walsh Jesuit in Sullivan Gymnasium, also at 7.

Coach Chuck Kyle's varsity track and field team, coming off a championship performance at the Hilliard Davidson Wildcat Premier, will be at the tradition-rich Medina Relays on Saturday at 9 a.m. It will mark the 25th year of the always memorable Medina event.

Last year, behind first-place performances by Keith Carmichael in the pole vault, John Sweeney '11 in the 3200 meter run and the 4x800 team, the Wildcats put together a solid second place effort at Medina. Solon took first place.

HERE'S WISHING THE ENTIRE SAINT IGNATIUS FAMILY A BLESSED AND HAPPY EASTER.

Rounding the corner and heading home.
