Former Saint Ignatius award-winning broadcaster and SIBN President Mike Watts '11, who will be entering his sophomore year at Fordham, wanted to pass along that Justin Morrow '06 has been named to the MLS All-Star team as an injury replacement for New York's Heath Pearce. Morrow is in his third season with the San Jose Earthquakes and has played every minute of all 21 games on defense for the Quakes. He has tallied a goal and two assists this season, his first as a regular starter.

Morrow was a member of Saint Ignatius' 2004 State Championship team and the 2005 State and National Championship team as a midfielder. He tallied 21 goals and 14 assists his senior year at Saint Ignatius. He is one of just ten All-Americans in the history of the Wildcats' soccer program.

Justin went on to an outstanding career at Notre Dame, starting 64 games and serving as a captain for the Fighting Irish his senior year. He was drafted by San Jose in the second round (28th overall) of the 2010 MLS Superdraft.

The MLS All-Star team will take on UEFA Champion Chelsea on Wednesday July 25th in Philadelphia at PPL Park. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 8:30pm.
