In the latest Division I, Region 1 computer playoff football ratings by guru Joe Eitel, Saint Ignatius continues to show the way, followed by Willoughby South, St. Edward, Austintown Fitch, North Royalton, Mentor, Cleveland Heights and Warren G. Harding.

Under the OHSAA Harbin playoff system, the top eight teams in each of the state's 24 regions at the end of the regular season qualify for the postseason and the top four are awarded a home game in the first round.

After losing to Saint Ignatius, 35-7, on Saturday night (see the corner's story below), Glenville dropped from 10th to 13th in Region 1 and Euclid, on the strength of its impressive victory at previously undefeated Cleveland Heights on Friday night, vaulted from 15th to ninth place.

Although the official OHSAA ratings won't be released until Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Eitel is usually right on the money.
