FINDLAY, Oh - After scoring a collective 58 points all around the track, the Track and Field Wildcats won the Regional Championship in Findlay, Ohio, on May 27th. With three regional champions, a runner-up and a multitude of podium finishers, the Wildcats edged out St. John's Jesuit by ½ a point to win. It came down to the 4x400m and the Wildcats, leading by 2.5 points, just needed second place to win.
The Titans from St Johns ran an incredible race and defeated the Wildcats, but their 47.5+10 for first place was not enough to beat the Wildcats' total 50+8 points in second place. Also on the team podium were St Edward with 46 in third and Avon with 45 in fourth. The Wildcats won the first regional track in either track and field or cross country since the 2018 track season, giving the seniors their first and Head Track and Field Coach Kyle his "millionth" Regional Title in their final seasons.
