The junior standout helped the Wildcats compile a team score of 293.

On a sunny Monday at Sweetbriar Golf Club in Avon Lake, the Wildcats conquered the competition.

The Golf Cats rolled to the Sectional Championship with a standout team score of 293.

Topher Reed dominated the day for the Wildcats. The junior tallied a score of 71 to earn the medalist trophy as an individual. Reed notched a 37 on the front nine before heating up for a 34 on the back nine.

With the victory, the Golf Cats will be heading onto the District Tournament.

Reed's effort marks the second time in as many seasons that the Fairview Park native has won medalist honors. Reed is the midst of an extraordinary junior campaign, with no signs of slowing down.

Reed nearly didn't win the event, as Bradley Chill, Jr. nearly stole the spotlight as the victor. The freshman carded a score of 72, clipping a 35 on the front nine and a 37 on the back nine. Chill is a deadly good freshman golfer with excellent potential.

Nick Piesen nipped at both men's heels, showcasing his skills all day. The sophomore cupped a 36 on the front nine and claimed a 37 on the back nine.

Nick Longano rounded out the team scores with an individual mark of 77. The senior tapped a 39 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine, completing the Wildcats' team tally of 293.

Connor Malicki also competed for the Wildcats. The sophomore carded an 80 for the day.

Avon (314), Strongsville (319) and Rocky River (326) also made the cut for the District Tournament.

The Wildcats will be back in action next week for the District Tournament. Further details will be announced as the tournament approaches.
