Fletcher is a stud in the classroom and on the field, earning the #34 Jim Skerl Award for the baseball team.

Nick Fletcher '20 is nothing if not well-rounded.

Fletcher is a strong pitcher, a hard-working pitcher, a well-spoken broadcaster, and just an overall good kid.

The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) have recognized Fletcher's smarts, naming him a 2020 Academic All-Ohioan.

The recognition follows after Fletcher was named the #34 Jim Skerl Award winner for the baseball team.

Fletcher played a starring role for the Wildcats in last year's title run, ending with the Division I State Championship trophy. As a hard-throwing right-hander, Fletcher notched a 6-1 record, 1.89 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. In 37 innings, Fletch struck out 32 batters, allowing just 27 hits and 10 runs. He appeared in 11 games, making six starts. He was no slouch in the field, either, playing well in right field and hitting nicely at the dish. He tallied 13 hits, 12 runs, and 4 RBI during his time playing right field.

In the fall, Fletcher will continue his baseball and academic careers at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
