21 Wildcats will commit to play a sport or to broadcast in college.

Despite the distance, Saint Ignatius will be celebrating its students headed to the next level.

On Friday, we will honor 21 athletes and broadcasters who have committed to continue their athletic and academic careers in college.

In February, we celebrated 20 young men headed to play a sport at the Division I/II/NAIA level. Now in May, we commemorate the achievements of the 21 Wildcats who have committed since then, the majority of whom will be Division III athletes and preferred walk-ons. Their accomplishments would have been celebrated in person in the Breen Center on May 14, but COVID-19 has forced us to distance ourselves for now.

So, we produced a video featuring all 21 young men. Each Wildcat sent in a video of himself signing with the school and donning their new hat and colors. Athletic Director Rory Fitzpatrick introduces each man in the video, and you can see the full list below.

The depth and breadth of the Class of 2020 is on full display here. A whopping nine sports are represented in this ceremony. John Carroll University is the most popular destination with 5 Wildcats becoming Blue Streaks, but 15 universities from across the country are represented here.

Our Spring Commitment Day video will go live at 10 am on Friday on the SIBN. After it airs, you can watch on-demand via this link:

Here is the full list of Wildcat commits. Congrats to these 21 men and their families on an outstanding four years and this great accomplishment! Each and every one of them has a bright future. We couldn't be prouder of them.
