The duo enjoyed quite a nice season.

Sorry we're a little late on this, but better late than never, right?

Andrew Kaye and Topher Reed have been named All-District!

The two outstanding Saint Ignatius golfers enjoyed excellent seasons. Kaye and Reed powered the Wildcats through a challenging schedule all the way to the State Tournament.

The Northeast Ohio Golf Coaches Association bestowed the honors on Kaye and Reed. The duo made the first-team after stellar seasons for the blue and gold.

For the season, Kaye tallied an impressive average. For his senior campaign, Kaye averaged a score of 73.7, an elite number that would make just about any golfer envious.

Last week, Kaye's hard work paid off – the senior signed his National Letter of Intent with Cleveland State University. Not long ago, his coach, PJ Myers '99, starred for the Vikings. Kaye is sure to shine with the Vikes, too, in the classroom and on the course. After all, Kaye currently owns a 4.22 cumulative GPA.

You'll likely see Topher Reed sign an NLI in a couple of years, too. Heck, you might even see him in the pros one day, based on his red-hot start at Saint Ignatius.

In his second season on the varsity squad, Reed made history. According to Myers, Reed set a school record for season average, with an incredible 71.7. Most golfers would kill for an average like that. That's only a couple strokes off from a pro-level average. Reed has an incredibly bright future at Wildcat High and beyond.

Congrats to both Kaye and Reed on special seasons!
