On Saturday, the Saint Ignatius Wildcats took on the Valley Forge Patriots at Wasmer Field, on a rather cold day in Cleveland. The Wildcats were coming in fresh as they had a bye week in the first round of the playoffs, while the Patriots had a decent rest after they defeated Cleveland Rhodes to advance to the Sectional Final.

The atmosphere was nice, with plenty of parents from both sides in the stands, as the Wildcats had a student section consisting with only a few people, but they were louder than usual.

The game was an all-out attacking clinic from the Wildcats, managing to knock in eleven goals throughout the entire match. Everett Shorey, Kyle Folds, Luciano Pechota, Niko Basic, Marko Rimac, and many more.

The Wildcats pressed up very far for most of the game, with the defense almost supplying extra midfielders compared to a normal match.

The reserves got plenty of playing time, with most of the Starting XI getting plenty of rest for their match on Wednesday.

The Wildcats seemed to have plenty of confidence going into the next round.

With this said, the Wildcats do not have an easy opponent in the next round as they face off against Lincoln West, who defeated Lakewood in a closely contested game on Wednesday at Wasmer Field at 7 p.m.

If they get past that match, they will go on to face the winner of another exciting game as their rivals the Saint Edward Eagles take on the No. 2 seed North Royalton. The District Final will be held at Byers Field on Saturday at 7 pm.
