Connor Warns shot a 75 for the Gold Cats.

The depth of the Saint Ignatius golf program was once again on display at the St. John's Jesuit Titan Cup on Tuesday.

The Wildcats' varsity squad conquered the field with a team tally of 291, while the JV Gold/Varsity B team earned a third-place finish at Stone Ridge Golf Course.

The victory marks the varsity team's third tournament win of the young season.

Topher Reed led the way with a tally of 70, good enough for second overall individually. Andrew Kaye, Ross Williamson, Andrew Martin, Nick Piesen, and Connor Malicki also repped the Wildcats on a great day of golf.

Archbishop Moeller finished second as a team, nipping at the Cats' toes with a final score of 292.

Tom Beach's boys also performed quite well at the Arthur Hills-designed track near the campus of Bowling Green State University. The Gold Cats snagged a team score of 303, a very impressive score for a JV team.

Liam Doyle paved the way for the squad. The junior shot an exciting score of 74, shooting a 35 (-1) on the back nine. Connor Warns followed him closely with an even-par of 75, as did MJ Myers. The sophomore scribbled down a 35 for the back nine at day's end, too.

Braden Hilditch and JR Leedy carded identical scores of 79 on a nice day. John Thompson, who has rotated between JV Gold and JV Blue, rounded out the club with an 85.

After their best effort of the year, Beach's boys will have some time off before returning to the course on August 22. The Gold team will have its first dual match of the season, facing off with Walsh Jesuit in an afternoon matinee.

Meanwhile, the varsity squad will wrap up the week with The "Tradition" hosted by Walsh Jesuit on Wednesday.
