The road to the first state championship in program history has been laid out for the Saint Ignatius lacrosse program.

On Sunday, the OHSAA released its Division I State Tournament bracket.

The Wildcats' postseason journey will begin on Tuesday, May 14 on Wasmer Field, three days after the conclusion of the regular season with the Midwest Tournament.

The postseason will begin with a home game, facing the winner of Berea-Midpark and Cleveland Heights at a time to be determined. The Wildcats, the No. 1 seed in Region 2, would host the winner of Green and Painesville Riverside on Friday, May 17 at a time TBD, should the Cats win.

If the Lax Cats win the first two games, the winner of North Canton Hoover/Stow-Munroe Falls vs. Solon/Mentor awaits in the Regional Semifinal on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 pm. The winner then advances to the Regional Final on Friday, May 24 at 7 pm. Shaker Heights is the No. 2 seed in the bracket and a potential favorite to advance to the Regional title game.

The Region 2 champ faces the Region 1 champ on Wednesday, May 28 at a time and place to be determined. Dublin Coffman and Dublin Jerome are the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the Region 1 bracket.
