Saint Ignatius & Saint Edward Basketball Join Together For A Cause

The Saint Ignatius and Saint Edward Basketball programs will join forces for a great cause on Saturday, January 20th as the Wildcats and Eagles face off on the court for the first time this season.  The games will be at Saint Ignatius High School with the JV tipping off at 5:30 and the Varsity at about 7 p.m.

The two programs are asking folks to bring gently used winter coats & hoodies when they come to the games that day.  The coats/hoodies will be donated to Varsity Coats For Needy Folks – an organization that will get them to the homeless in Cuyahoga County. The lack of warm coats is a very serious & dangerous concern for these homeless individuals.  As the number of homeless continues to grow, the demand for these donations becomes even greater.  Your donation may help someone survive our frigid winter!

Coats will also be collected at the Magnificat vs Saint Joseph Academy game being held that afternoon at Magnificat.  We hope the communities of these 4 catholic schools can rally together to make a real difference in the lives of our local homeless men and women.

If you cannot attend the games, your donations would still gladly be accepted.

Please contact the Saint Ignatius Athletic Department with any questions.
