Freshman Dylan Huss stepped up on Saturday, along with the Doran brothers.

After two weeks of losing battles, the Alley Cats struck again.

Coming off of a recent string of losses, the Saint Ignatius bowling team seems to have figured out their best path to winning, and put it into practice last weekend.

Facing off against Garfield Heights, the Alley Cats showed their strength, and brought in their second win of the year. Starting off losing the first game by only twenty pins, the Alley Cats came back in the next two, beating their opponent by a total of 183 pins over the course of the three games and 17 pins over the two bakers, making for a grand total of a 200 pin victory.

Special acknowledgement to Vinny and Anthony Doran, who threw impressive 240 and 235 pin games respectively, doing a great deal to lead the team towards victory.

It seems that after a minor setback, the team has found its way, and is ready to continue the wins into the rest of the season. The Wildcats return to action on Saturday vs. St. Edward at Buckeye Lanes at 9 am.

Saint Ignatius vs. Garfield Heights scores:

Anthony Doran: 173, 235, 145

Alex Gehrlein: 144
