Wildcats Basketball is ranked 14h this week in Cleveland.com's Top 25 area poll

 The 3-2 Wildcats of Hall of Fame Head Coach Brian Becker '77, who were ranked 12th in last week's area poll, will host the storied Canton McKinley Bulldogs on Saturday night at 7 PM in Fr. Sullivan Gymnasium.

 This corner will provide a mid-week preview on the currently 3-1 Bulldogs.

 Saint Ignatius is coming off a demanding three games in five nights week that saw the 'Cats lose a home game to Cornerstone Christian, bounce back with a tremendous victory at Cleveland Heights and then run into one of the hottest teams in the state, the Solon Comets. The Comets of Saint Ignatius graduate and former Wildcats basketball mainstay Tony DeCesare defeated the 'Cats, 72-54, at Solon on Saturday night.

 The undefeated programs from Garfield Heights (4-0), St. Edward (5-0) and Solon (5-0) remained 1-2-3, respectively, in Cleveland.com's Top 25, seven-county area poll.

 Here is a listing of the area's other top 15 teams: 4. Shaker Heights (3-0); 5. Benedictine (2-1); 6. Stow (3-0); 7. Archbishop Hoban (3-0); 8. Copley (3-1); 9. St. Vincent-St. Mary (2-2-); 10. Maple Heights (4-0); 11. Lorain (3-0); 12. Brush (5-0); 13. Cleveland Central Catholic (1-1); 14. Saint Ignatius (3-2) and 15. Cleveland Heights (4-1). The Tigers of Cleveland Heights were ranked ninth last week.
