A beautiful Thursday afternoon ended in victory for the Saint Ignatius JV Blue golf team. 

The Wildcats earned a close triumph over Gilmour Academy, 183-189. The teams played from the blue tees at Shaker Country Club. 

Ian Shemo topped the squad with a 44 on the afternoon. Matthew Giberti slotted in just behind his fellow frosh, tabbing a 45. William Doyle and Sean White penciled in scores of 47, and Andrew Martin carded a 48. 

Thanks to the win, the Wildcats have won two in a row heading into their final dual match. The JV Blue Cats will face Padua at Sleepy Hollow on Monday at 4 p.m. to end its dual match schedule.

The squad's season concludes with the Northeast Ohio Championships on October 7.
