The Saint Ignatius JV Gold golf team turned in its best performance of the season earlier this week.

Four of the squad's six golfers notched tallies of under 40, quite impressive for a young JV squad.

As a team, the Wildcats won the dual match over Walsh Jesuit, 151-171, at Brookledge Golf Course.

Jess Saunders guided the Golf Cats with a 35, an even par, to claim the honor of medalist. Zach Hazard followed closely with a 38 for the Wildcats. Nick Longano and KJ Ripich carded scores of 39 in impressive fashion.

John Klym fought hard to score a 42 for the Golf Cats, a day mirroring the efforts of Longano and Ripich. Kyle Gerrity penciled in a 45 at the end of the day for the Wildcats.

Coach Tom Beach's squad will enter to hit the home stretch of the season with a bang on Saturday. The JV Gold Cats will compete in the Bishop Watterson Invitational at Clover Valley Golf Course on what promises to be a beautiful, but hot, Saturday afternoon.
