The fall season has been an impressive one for the Saint Ignatius cross country team on all levels.

One Wildcat, this week's Student-Athlete of the Week, has shined particularly brightly as of late.

Out of 338 competitors in the JV race at the Boardman Invitational, Nathan Soria finished first. The junior galloped to the finish line on Saturday with a stunning time of 17:24.

As Head Coach Dr. Michael Gallagher '71 said in his weekly report, Soria separated himself from the pack in the first mile. However, a number of Hudson Explorers surrounded him.

Soria responded with a great move in the last 500 meters to win the race. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Wildcats captured third as a team in the JV race.

Following Soria's dynamic effort, the Cross Country Cats will return to action on Saturday. The squad will take part in the Strongsville Invitational at Cloverleaf High School.

Congrats to Nathan and the cross country team!
