The Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh rivalry will receive a new twist this November.

Cleveland's top high school hockey program will travel to the Keystone State to face one of Pittsburgh's top youth programs.

This November, the Saint Ignatius hockey team will face the 18U AAA Pittsburgh Predators.

The Wildcats, compiling a travel-filled schedule for the winter, have added the Predators to the mix. The teams will play two games, one on Saturday, November 18 at 2:10 p.m. and another on Sunday, November 19 at 10 a.m. The contests will be played at Ice Castle in Pittsburgh.

The Predators program was formed 17 years ago in 2000. For the upcoming season, the Predators have 24 total teams. Three squads are AAA (18 and under, 16U, and 15U), while the other 21 are AA (mite through midget levels).

Several prominent players have started with the Predators. The notable alumni include Vince Trocheck, currently an NHL forward with the Florida Panthers.

The men of Patrick O'Rourke '90 have their eyes set on a repeat title performance, and plan to face the best competition possible to prep for a run. The Predators should offer a great early season test for the Wildcats.
