The Wildcats' offense is on fire thanks to Conry.

Late in the regular season, Head Coach Garen Distelhorst '96 opted to make an adjustment on offense.

Nate Conry had played midfield all season, but Distelhorst chose to move the sophomore to attack.

The move has paid off in spades. Conry has been red-hot and the Wildcats have rolled through the first four rounds of the playoffs to the State Semifinal of the inaugural OHSAA Tournament.

As a result, Conry is the Student-Athlete of the Week.

Conry, now at the midpoint of his Saint Ignatius career, netted six goals for the Wildcats in two games last week. The attacker tabbed three in last Wednesday's 12-4 victory over Hudson, helping the Wildcats win a wet Regional Semifinal. Conry then provided another hat trick in Saturday's 12-6 win over North Canton Hoover.

Conry's efforts proved critical in helping the Wildcats secure a Regional Championship. The sophomore slotted two goals in the opening period against the Vikings and his final goal proved to be a killer in the third quarter.

The six goals over the past week give Conry 17 markers on the season, to go along with 6 assists and 12 ground balls.

Conry and the Lax Cats aren't done, however. The Wildcats will play Olentangy Liberty tonight at Wooster High School at 7:15 p.m. Should the Lax Cats survive the State Semifinal, the State Championship will take place at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Congrats to Conry and good luck tonight to the Lax Cats!
