The pro lacrosse player stopped by the Wildcats' practice on Wednesday.

One of the best lacrosse players to emerge from Northeast Ohio visited the Saint Ignatius lacrosse team on Wednesday.

Anthony Kelly '99, a professional lacrosse player for the Atlanta Blaze, visited practice to talk to the Lax Cats and help them prepare for the MSLCA and OHSAA Tournaments.

Kelly is a face-off specialist for the Blaze, an 11-year veteran of Major League Lacrosse. Kelly has a 51.5 career faceoff percentage, along with 481 ground balls and 41 points. Kelly helped the Denver Outlaws win the 2014 MLL Championship.

Previously, Kelly played for The Ohio State University, enjoying an impressive career for the Buckeyes. Kelly also starred for the Wildcats during his time at Saint Ignatius.

Now 35, Kelly is the Co-Owner & Founder Resolute Lacrosse, coaching lacrosse when he's not on the field. Kelly also raises money for breast cancer in his free time.

Kelly is participating in the "Real Men Wear Pink Challenge” this season with several other players in Major League Lacrosse. The MLL is pairing with the American Cancer Society to battle cancer and educate others on breast cancer.

Kelly's mother, Linda, battled and survived breast cancer two decades ago.

The Atlanta Blaze will host the New York Lizards on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the first “Real Men Wear Pink” game. Kelly's mother will be honored following the game.

You can read the full article about Kelly's efforts in an online article by The Atlanta Constitution-Journal.
