A busy week now awaits the Tennis Cats.

The Tennis Cats look nearly unbeatable.

The Saint Ignatius tennis team has stormed out to a 9-1 record and continues to thrive, as evidenced by Saturday's results in Medina.

At the Medina Doubles Tournament, the Wildcats swept the competition, winning the four doubles matches to take the tournament title back to West 30th and Lorain.

The team's top pair of Josh Hsia and Andy Siciliano set the pace for the squad, as the two veterans performed well. Richie Hofstra and Brian Zhu repped the Wildcats well in the second pairing, too.

Jack McNally and Arjun Brahmbhatt paired together perfectly in the No. 3 doubles. Drew Barclay and Jack Showman rounded out a stout Wildcats team at the No. 4 doubles spot.

The team's tournament win over the weekend marked the conclusion of a very successful week, which saw the Wildcats claim 5-0 wins over Hudson and Avon Lake.

Now, the schedule increases in toughness. The Wildcats face Highland at Magnificat on Tuesday, a tough team in Hawken on the road on Wednesday, and a solid Walsh Jesuit squad away from home on Thursday. The Tennis Cats then finish out the week on Friday against Lakewood before a weekend respite.

Congrats to Head Coach Jon Barker '87 and the Tennis Cats on a great weekend, and best of luck during this busy week.
