As the weather transitions from winter to spring, indoor track and field shifts to outdoor track and field.

The Wildcats concluded the indoor track and field season on a positive note on Saturday. The Wildcats took a solid 12th place as a team at the OATCCC Indoor State Championships.

As he often does, senior CJ Ambrosio stole the spotlight. The Duke University commit dashed into third place in the 1600m, clocking in with a mark of 4:13.46. Ambrosio's time stands as the 8th best time in the country and just 2 seconds off of the school record.

Phil Zuccaro also turned in a nice performance. Zuccaro slid into sixth in the 200m with a time of 22.46.

To round out the Wildcats' impressive effort, Darian Kinnard notched fifth place in the shot put with a toss of 54'5".

Congratulations to the Track Cats on a solid ending to the indoor season. Now, the outdoor season awaits.
