The regular season has ended. The postseason is here.

The Saint Ignatius varsity blue hockey team's quest to win the 2017 Cleveland Cup, and the OHSAA Division I Championship, begins anew on Tuesday.

The Ice Cats will play Lake Catholic on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at OBM Arena in the Cleveland Cup Quarterfinals.

The Wildcats stand as the No. 1 seed after rolling to a 9-1 record against Great Lakes Hockey League opponents this season. The Cougars sit as the No. 8 seed after losing to Walsh Jesuit and St. Edward this weekend.

The Wildcats and Cougars met once before this season on January 13. That contest ended early as Saint Ignatius cruised to a 10-0 win at Brooklyn Ice Arena.

Should the Ice Cats prevail tomorrow, the Wildcats would play again on Friday in the Cleveland Cup Semifinals at 6:00 p.m. at OBM Arena. The winner of that contest would face the winner from the bottom of the bracket in the Cleveland Cup Championship on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at OBM Arena.

The SIBN will have a live, audio-only broadcast of Tuesday's contest.

Editor's Note: A phenomenal recap of the weekend by Jack O'Rourke '20 will be available soon. The Wildcats dropped a pair of close contests in Michigan over the weekend.
