Coach Viets: This past weekend the Alley Cats were back in action at The Game of Wickliffe to take on the Notre Dame Cathedral Lions.

After waking up from lack of sleep, thanks to the exciting football game the night before, the Wildcats cruised to a easy victory.

Led by sophomore Vinny Doran (253, 613), senior Nick Frank (224, 608) and junior Anthony Doran (238, 601), the Wildcats tossed a 1065 scratch score in game two. Also contributing was senior Devin Venczel (217, 586). The good scores led to a 7- 0 Scratch, 2-5 Handicap, 3-1 Baker and the important OHSAA victory.

This week the Varsity will take on St. Edward in a pre-bowl situation because of the championship football game Friday night .

In JV action the Junior Cats are still looking for their first victory as they are waiting for a reinforcement from the football team. Alex Gehrlein continues to show improvement from last year as he tossed a very respectable 153 game. Noah Virant 122, Nizar Dergham and Alex Madeja round out the team. The JV team will also be pre-bowling this week against Benedictine as 8 of the 10 bowlers will be in Columbus Friday night cheering on the football team.
