Cleveland, Ohio - Here is what Dennis, the epitome of class, shared with this corner on Friday night.

Mr. Dwyer,

"I have officially committed to play football for Boston College. I will not be attending the school this fall, but rather in the winter to be ready for spring ball (in 2017). Thanks for everything you do."

See you soon,
Dennis

From the corner: In route to earning first-team Associated Press Division I All-Ohio honors in the fall of 2015, Dennis Grosel continued a quarterback legacy under Wildcats veteran Offensive Coordinator Nick Restifo that ranks among the best in the nation.

Dennis, who became the 16th Wildcat quarterback to earn All-Ohio recognition under the tutelage of Coach Restifo, had two games in the fall of 2015 in which he set new school records for passing yards. He finished with 1,959 yards and 18 TDs passing, and rushed for 469 yards and 11 touchdowns. In three games combined last fall, Dennis totaled just five series because of the score. Along with his All-Ohio honors, Dennis also garnered AP All-Northeast Lakes District recognition for the second consecutive season.

A captain in both football and baseball, Dennis' play at third base and steady offensive production this spring helped key a second consecutive drive to the OHSAA Division I State Baseball Semifinals by Coach Brad Ganor's Cats. As a junior, the versatile Grosel played first base and catcher. Dennis teamed with his brother Tommy this spring, as Tommy excelled as a sophomore first baseman/pitcher. Dennis and Tommy were recognized for their offensive and defensive skills during last week's annual Spring Sports Awards Ceremony.

The corner wishes to express its congratulations to Dennis, his family, Wildcats Hall of Fame Head Coach Chuck Kyle, Coach Restifo and the entire Saint Ignatius Football Program.

God Bless and All of the Best now and in the future to an exceptional athlete and leader, and THANK YOU Dennis for all of the kindness and respect you expressed to this old-timer. It was a privilege to report on your many successes during what was a special and memorable career at Cleveland's Jesuit Preparatory School.
